For certain areas, additional information is also required, as indicated in the list below.

Requirements and regulations

The requirements applicable to your area are listed under each subject area. By applying, you accept the accreditation rules and undertake to notify any changes that may affect your ability to maintain accreditation.

If you apply within an area for which Swedac does not yet grant accreditation, you may need to submit an application for acceptance of a conformity assesment procedure.

How to complete the application

New accreditation (This applies if your organisation does not yet hold an accreditation.)

Step 1. Information for cost calculation

In Step 1, you provide basic information about the organisation and specify the activities to be covered by the accreditation. This information is used by Swedac to calculate the cost of your application. If you already have all documentation prepared, you may submit everything at this stage.

Step 2. Documentation for assessment

In Step 2, you submit the documentation required for Swedac to assess whether the organisation meets the accreditation requirements. This may include quality manuals and technical descriptions. If you already have all documentation ready, you may submit everything in Step 1.

Extension of accreditation

When extending accreditation to include a new conformity assessment activity, the same process applies as for a new application. For example, an organisation accredited for testing under ISO/IEC 17025 may wish to add inspection under ISO/IEC 17020.
