Swedac’s mandate is governed, among other things, by laws and ordinances adopted by the Swedish Parliament and Government, as well as by regulations and directives issued by the EU. Swedac´s regulations are called STAFS, which are the authority´s Code of Statutes. Swedac issues regulations in various areas, including accreditation, precious metals and legal metrology.
